As founder and Principal of Eclipse Financial Services, Justin boasts extensive experience in banking, lending and financial planning and is a “Certified Financial Planner” – the highest accreditation given by the Financial Planning Association of Australia. Justin began his career in banking out of school in 1987 in Bundaberg, working for over 15 years with Westpac, and prior to establishing Eclipse in 2003 was Westpac’s Senior Executive Financial Planner in the Whitsundays region for many years. Justin was one of the youngest people to qualify as a Financial Planner doing so with Westpac in 1991 at the age of 20.

In 06/07, Justin was ranked in the top 1% of his peers in the annual Australian Financial Review Master Class for Certified Financial Planners. Justin has called the Whitsundays home since 1992.

With broad qualifications and extensive experience in Financial Planning, Insurance, Investment, Superannuation and Mortgage Broking Justin manages all areas of Eclipse.

Nicholas has been in the Financial Planning industry for approximately 10 years and has held roles in boutique financial planning firms, top tier accounting firms and the Commonwealth Bank. Nicholas specialises in helping you grow, preserve and protect your wealth whilst adhering to the highest ethical standards as set by the Financial Planning Association.

Nicholas enjoys providing practical strategic advice, educating clients, delivering ongoing value for advice and building strong, long term relationships.

When Nicholas is not in the office he loves spending time with his family, watching NRL and stunt kite flying in the beautiful Whitsundays.

Michelle Young

Prior to joining Eclipse in 2006 Michelle worked for 15 years as a conveyancer/paralegal, primarily responsible for the legal documentation involved with buying and selling property.  Following this role she worked for four years in administration for a leading local accounting firm.  As the client services manager, Michelle is responsible for managing all client data and services.  She also provides support in the area of life insurance, liaising with clients to gather all those important details.  Michelle is also a Commissioner for Declarations so is able to witness most legal documents. 

Having moved to the Whitsundays in 1991 Michelle has a great infinity with the area.  If you would like to make an appointment to see one of the team at Eclipse or should you have any queries in relation to any of the services provided, Michelle would be more than happy to discuss these matters with you.

Emma Paterson

Emma moved to Airlie Beach in 2010 to begin her career in the Financial Planning industry and to enjoy the Whitsunday lifestyle. After moving back to Queensland from a two year working holiday in Europe, Emma worked as an Assistant Accountant for a private company in Brisbane prior to joining Eclipse.

Emma’s main roles within the company are administration, bookkeeping and client management/support. During her time with Eclipse, Emma has completed both her Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma of Financial Planning.
